It's not enough to be authentic

I love what it stands for, but the word itself makes me cringe. Anyone else?
So I’ve got a new word for you instead. RELEVANT.
It doesn’t matter how “authentic” your storytelling is if you’re message isn’t RELEVANT to your audience.
In order to build a community around your brand, you need to be both genuine AND relatable.
The best way to achieve this? Don’t try too hard! It’s when we try and gloss over the reality that we begin to slip into unrelatable territory.
There’s nothing wrong with a bit of polish. Just don’t erase the truth.
